2. Project summary: (100 words)
This grant request is to help purchase a bespoke vehicle to be facilitaed by Wiltshire YFC to support youth and community work in the area. This grant will allow us to purchase a unique vehicle that will enable the development and expansion of rural based youth engagement and community work that is already taking place across the area including isolated area. The project also looks to support and promote other community groupsorganisation in their work through partnership working.

We are looking to build and develop on the success of the Summer Pop Up Youth Cafe events that has engaged with hundreds of young people in previous years. Wiltshire YFC will facilitate the community based Mobile Youth Work vehicle. This transport will help engage with young people not only for events in the Summer but we would also look to support teenagerscommunitiesother organisations throughout the year. We have an opportunity to acquire the former BIOS van that has operated in Swindon. This bespoke award winning vehicle will allow us to connect with local young people and help provide a unique safe and engaging provision in our part of Wiltshire. This will help to talk about and address issues relevant to them including Positive decisions mental health family and social issues. We have partnered with local Police other service providers and local residents in the past to help build a stronger sense of community and this will continue to develop. Wiltshire YFC are committed to supporting communities and young people right across north Wiltshire. We assist young people in their current stage of life and during their transition to adulthood and encourage them to make a full and positive contribution to the communities in which they live. This facility includes multi media provision hot water facilities storage and means to transport other items around such as a Youth Cafe Gazebo and seating. Our aim is to also support other community groups NOISE Project local youth clubs Wiltshire Wildlife and WCto help enable other activities being run. Young people have been involved over the years through the LYN and CYO levels. This will help physically and visually promote youth support to those who are currently not connected. Wiltshire YFC will continue to organize the Summer Pop Up event weeks linking with other local agencies such as Police and community groups to support and encourage local young people within the Devizes area. The vehicle to be used is accessible for all including those with disabilities. The acquirement of this particular vehicle at the moment means that it an affordable option compared to purchasing a new vehicle that requires conversion.

As an established Youth Work organisation we have policies and procedures in place to support both staff and young people in our work. All staff are trained and experienced youth workers and fully DBS checked. We have experience of dealing with and procedures for dealing with Safeguarding issues and clear roles within the organisation to make sure they are dealt with appropriately.

9. Monitoring your project
How will you know if your project has been successful?

All projects are reviewed and monitored on a regular basis and feedback is always sort from those involved. Records are kept on numbers attending comments and suggestions are received from service users and other agencies to monitor and evaluate activities. A report will be produced to highlight the aims we achieved and any recommendations for future activities.
