Issue Summary

Parking on dangerous bends in Amesbury

Latest Update

14/03/2018 10:51:07 It has been indicated by Network Management Team that a review of waiting restrictions will take place in Amesbury in 2018/19. In light of this it would make sense for these restrictions to be completed via that process (This would all be funded centrally)

06/10/2017 10:35:53 This will be considered at CATG on 30th October

CATG Action / Recommendation

Parking in the town centre has increased - residents shoppers and workers are parking on a dangerous bend on the Fairfax Close which they are legally allowed to do but it does make the road more dangerous. It has also been observed that when vehicles try to enter to exit Fairfax Close they have to make a quick decision when they are faced with cars having to overtake parked cars on a dangerous bend. Pedestrians crossing the road are often unsure of what vehicles intentions are due to having to make a quick decision regarding other vehicles.
