Overnight parking Solstce Park

Issue

Over night parking by lorries has created a road safety issue on two roads in Solstice Park Amesbury. The lorries are using the area for an overnight stop and are not connected with businesses based in Solstice park

Who is Affected

Operators of businesses on Solstice Park and in particular T J Morris. There is also an approved planning application for a builders merchant to be sited on these roads which will add to the problem.

What has been done so far

Talked to the major company affected by the problem. They operate a three shift 24 hour business with goods to stores by lorries departing during these operation. Also there are goods in deliveries on a scheduled basis again on a three shift basis

What would resolve issue

24 hour parking restrictions on both roads. The roads meet the standards for two way traffic but are not wide enough for parking.
