21/03/2018 16:33:17 Discussed by Chippenham Community Area Transport Group (CATG) on 27th February 2018. The Principal Highway Engineer confirms that this and other similar requests can be added to the “Ad-hoc” lining list when a team is in the area. Chippenham CATG agreed a recommendation that an allocation of £500 should be made to address this request and others (see 5329 & 5524) On 19th March 2018 Chippenham Area Board agreed the CATG recommendation – Chippenham Area Board to allocate £500 to cover the cost of Ad-hoc lining works for H- Bars and SLOW markings (see issues 5329, 5524 & 5655)

21/11/2017 06:50:14 The Road Safety Unit had provided the results of Metro Count: Traffic Speed Survey Result A420 North Wraxall (60mph Speed Limit) - East of Old Coach Road The Results of the survey for the area of North Wraxall are provided below. The survey was carried out between 01/11/2017 and 11/11/2017. A total of 48792 vehicles were checked. The 85th percentile was 62.2mph (the 85th percentile is the speed at which 85% of the traffic is travelling at or below). The average speed was 55.2mph. As with every other department, we have to target our limited resources to where they will be most effective and as such I would remind you that unless there are exceptional circumstances we will not accept another count request for this location or close surrounding area for another 12 months. Community Speed Watch does not operate in any speed limit above 40mph. Any other results in higher speed limits will be discussed on their individual basis and merit.

06/09/2017 14:08:48 Metro Count Request Form printed and posted to correspondent for completion as no e-mail provided.

CATG Action / Recommendation

21/03/2018 16:33:17 The Principal Highways Engineer will coordinate these works, no further action for Chippenham CATG at this time.
