Imber Road potential speeding

05/02/2018 12:39:22 Metro count (speed checks) carried out in Imber Road Autumn 2016. The results were are below and show that speeding is not routinely an issue with the parked cars slowing traffic down. The Town Council is potentially looking at modelling traffic for the whole area. Programmed for wk. commencing 26th September. Delayed due to school holidays and overall heavy demand for MC’s. Possible CSW scheme – Metro count results: 1. Imber Road (N of East St.) Mean = 22.2mph, 85th %ile 26.6mph AADT = 2212 2. Imber Road (S of Fairfield Rd) Mean = 22.7mph 85th % ile = 27.1mph AADT = 2210 3. Fairfield Road Mean = 19.5mph 85th % ile = 23.3mph AADT – 3944

Ongoing speeding issue on Imber Road. All hours of the day Military Police refuse to take action in fact questioned our ability to identify speeding vehicles. Imber Road is dangerous and needs addressing

Ongoing speed monitoring by police periodically would be great to act as a deterrent. Personally speed warning signs with radar would also be good.
