CATG Action / Recommendation

Issue

Traffic on the A346 entering Marlborough backed up sometimes as far as Cadley. Its particularly bad at rush hour and on a Friday afternoon. The situation is made worse by the 2 roundabouts at George Lane London Road where the road meets the A4 and the junction of the A4 and New Street. The situation has become worse since the Tesco business park opened. Traffic leaving the site has priority and brings the A346 northbound to a halt. The proposed housing opposite will add to the problem both during construction and when occupied.
