Issue Summary

Latest Update

03/04/2017 14:11:53 Highways officer advises that a pedestrian survey along with a metrocount has been undertaken in this area. A full assessment is being prepared and will be reported to the next CATG.

20/03/2017 13:38:39 Issue received and forwarded to Highways Officer and local Cllr. Issues submitted will be discussed at the next CATG meeting in June.

CATG Action / Recommendation

The issue is that the bus stops near to the junction of Helpswell Road should have a crossing. This road is a fast and very busy road with residents trying to cross the road to either catch buses or school children being dropped off and then trying to cross the road. In addition to this residents are trying to cross the road in order to walk their dogs etc. and find it very dangerous to do so.

Issue Location

Street / Location

At the bust stops near to the junction with Helpswell Road.

Electoral Division

Issue Duration

Sincr houses and bus tops built over 16 years but now much worse due to the increase in the volume

Who is Affected

Local residents.

What has been done so far

Raised this with the Parish Council at a meeting in January 2017. The Parish Council are in agreement with a crossing being implemented.

What would resolve issue

A pelican crossing put in place to allow the public and school children to cross the road safely.

Who needs to come together

I would like this discussed at the area board meeting as well at the CATG forum.
